Polystyrene sheets A4 5 mm

Modelna A4 polystyrene sheet, 5 mm, is used to create custom model parts and structures. The 5 mm thickness is particularly suitable for thick bases, support cores, plinths, terrain bases, and larger structures.

Recommended uses

• scratchbuilding and building custom parts,
• modifying and adding to plastic model kits,
• buildings, technical structures, and constructions in dioramas,
• bases, partitions, and layered elements depending on the selected thickness.

Recommended Procedure

1. First, transfer the dimensions to the sheet using a ruler and a fine-tipped scriber.
2. Cut along a metal ruler using a sharp modeling knife. For thicker sheets, make several light cuts; do not try to cut through the material with a single forceful stroke.
3. After scoring, carefully separate the part and smooth the edge with a file or sandpaper.
4. Assemble the parts without glue first. Use an adhesive designed for polystyrene and test it on a scrap piece first to ensure it works.
5. Before painting, remove dust and grease from the surface; a primer will make it easier to inspect the joints and create a uniform surface.
