PBY-5A PART II 1/48 recommended for REVELL / EDUARD
Eduard BIG49480 PBY-5A PART II 1/48 is a Big Ed bundle of three Space sets for the exterior, undercarriage and retractable wingtip floats of the PBY-5A Catalina. For the Revell and Eduard kits.
The second Big Ed bundle for the PBY-5A in 1/48 scale combines three Space 3D decal sets that are also available separately: 3DL48287 PBY-5A exterior, 3DL48296 PBY-5A undercarriage and 3DL48297 PBY-5A wingtip floats. Eduard recommends them for the Revell and Eduard kits.
Here the pre-painted 3D decals focus on the outer skin, the undercarriage and the floats, which on the Catalina retracted in flight to form the wingtips. The amphibious PBY-5A with its tricycle undercarriage extended the capabilities of the original Consolidated PBY flying boat and served with the US Navy and Allied air arms in the Second World War. The cockpit and interior are covered by the PBY-5A PART I bundle (BIG49479). The plastic kit itself is not included.
