Information about the original:
Four Porsche 911 Turbo Carrera RSR cars were built in 1974 to compete in the World Constructors’ Championship season. As a result, fans could watch the factory team in action with one—and sometimes two—cars in Martini Racing colors, driven by the official crews of Müller–van Lennep and Koinigg–Schurti. Although the Porsche cars had nearly the same power output (around 500 koní) as their competitors in the Prototype category, they lacked the latter’s lightness and maneuverability. However, a fortunate combination of speed and reliability allowed the Porsches to achieve respectable results in nine races of the season, including two second-place finishes: one at the 24 Hours of Le Mans and one at the 6 Hours of Watkins Glen.
