Information about the original:
The V-22 Osprey tiltrotor is currently on its way to evaluation units of the U.S. Navy and Marine Corps to establish piloting procedures and operational use for this new, revolutionary aircraft. Thanks to its large tilting rotors, the Osprey is capable of taking off and landing just like a helicopter. However, once it leaves the ground, it flies like a normal airplane thanks to the tilting of its rotors. In doing so, it achieves speeds and a range that no traditional helicopter has even dreamed of. The V-22 is set to replace the aging CH-46 helicopters in their roles as transport and attack aircraft for the Marine Corps, and in the future it will also be used by the U.S. Special Forces—the famous Green Berets.
