AK Glues & Cement Quick Cement Extra Thin (40 ml)
AK12001 Quick Cement Extra Thin (40 ml) is a very fast-drying, extra-thin cement for plastic models. It flows into the joint by capillary action and is also suitable for parts with a small contact surface.
AK12001 Quick Cement Extra Thin (40 ml) It is the fastest of the three AK Interactive plastic glues. Its low viscosity and fine application brush allow the adhesive to seep by capillary action between precisely aligned parts. The solvent briefly softens the polystyrene contact surfaces and, after evaporation, forms a strong bond.
It is suitable for the quick assembly of small plastic parts and joints with limited contact surfaces. It is not intended for use on resin, metal, photo-etched parts, or clear parts, where the solvent could damage the surface.
Recommended Procedure
- Align the parts precisely without adhesive and hold them together.
- Gently touch the edge of the joint with a fine brush; the cement will flow into it on its own.
- Use only a small amount and do not move the parts for a few seconds.
- Allow the joint to cure thoroughly before sanding or subjecting it to further stress.
For more time to position the parts, choose AK12002 Extra Thin Cement; for larger contact surfaces, AK12003 Plastic Cement Standard Density is more suitable.
