Information about the original:
This version of the powerful twin-engine F-111 electronic warfare aircraft was designed to support strike formations against the threat of increasingly sophisticated anti-aircraft missile defenses. The aircraft’s generous dimensions allowed it to carry a vast amount of sophisticated electronic equipment for analyzing and jamming enemy radar frequencies. The EF-111 entered service in the 1980s and was extensively used in the Gulf War, where it supported allied air formations and significantly limited the enemy’s ability to respond.
