Subtlety in detail: the perfect summer for small scales

In modelling, scale determines everything. While a 1:35 scale tank can make the grass look like a tall bush, for small scales (like 1:72, 1:100 or 1:144) you need something much finer. AK Vegetation - Summer Green Tufts (AK8124) offers a unique 2mm height that perfectly simulates normal tall meadow vegetation in full summer bloom at these scales.

The bright and rich green colour evokes hot summer days when the vegetation is at its peak. These clumps are an excellent choice for depicting maintained areas such as airfields for shading.World War II airfields, around country houses or to enliven the pedestals of historical and fantasy figures. Due to its low height, it is also great as an 'understorey' under taller grass types, creating a natural layered effect in the landscape.

Important note: The package does not contain paint or adhesive (except for the integrated self-adhesive layer).

Product Specifications:

• Easy application: the clusters are self-adhesive. Simply use tweezers, remove the cluster from the backing film and place it on the surface.

• Fixation and durability: Although the clumps have an adhesive coating, for long-term stability on coarser textures (sand, gravel, clay) we recommend fixing with a small amount of white glue (PVA) or a specialized AK118 Gravel & Sand Fixer solution.

• Combining: we recommend combining these 2mm clusters with the higher variants (4mm or 6mm) to achieve the irregularity that is common in nature.
