AK Interactive AK8022 Terrains Sandy Desert (250 ml) is a 250 ml acrylic terrain paste for coarser and redder desert terrain than AK8020 Desert Sand. When combined with AK8020 Desert Sand, it can be used to create natural color and texture transitions in desert landscapes.
AK Interactive AK8022 Terrains Sandy Desert (250 ml) creates a coarser and redder desert terrain than AK8020 Desert Sand. This colored acrylic paste combines color and texture in a single step and is designed for dioramas, vignettes, figure bases, and wargaming terrain.
Recommended Procedure
- The surface must be solid, clean, and free of dust. Smooth or non-absorbent surfaces should be roughened or primed beforehand.
- Stir the paste thoroughly before use to ensure the binder and filler are evenly mixed.
- Apply with a putty knife or an old brush. A thin layer will even out the surface, while a thicker layer will create its own texture.
- While the paste is still wet, adjust the texture with a damp tool. The consistency can be increased with a small amount of water or acrylic thinner.
- Build up the volume gradually, adding the next layer only after the previous one has dried.
Combined with AK8020 Desert Sand, you can create natural color and textural transitions typical of a desert landscape.
For a more varied desert surface, combine with AK8020 Desert Sand.
