AK Interactive AK8013 Terrains Asphalt (250 ml) creates black-gray asphalt for roads, highways, and other paved surfaces. This colored acrylic paste combines color and texture in a single step and is designed for dioramas, vignettes, figure bases, and wargaming terrain.
Recommended Procedure
- The surface must be solid, clean, and free of dust. Smooth or non-absorbent surfaces should be roughened or primed beforehand.
- Stir the paste thoroughly before use to ensure the binder and filler are evenly mixed.
- Apply with a putty knife or an old brush. A thin layer will even out the surface, while a thicker layer will create its own texture.
- While the paste is still wet, adjust the texture with a damp tool. You can increase the fluidity by adding a small amount of water or acrylic thinner.
- Build up the volume gradually, adding the next layer only after the previous one has dried.
Once dry, the shade and weathered appearance can be further adjusted with pigments.
