AK Interactive Tools - Fiber Glass Bristle Cleaning Pencil is a professional cleaning tool designed for precise work with small areas and model details. The fiberglass fibers in the tip serve as a fine abrasive that effectively removes rust, scale, dirt and prepares the surface for further processing - such as gluing, painting or detail application. The principle is similar to a mechanical pencil: by turning the end of the pencil, the tip extends or retracts, allowing the length of the fibres to be adapted to the specific job. Shorter filaments mean more aggressive cleaning, while longer ones mean a softer touch.
The tool is suitable for working with photo-etching (degreasing, surface roughness before gluing), plastic parts (removing shiny cut marks, preparing joints), metal elements (cutting off, cleaning details) and for removing burrs after sanding. The fiberglass fibers do not leave metal traces and are resistant to chemicals, so the pencil can also be used in combination with cleaners or thinners.
Caution: do not touch the tip with bare hands - the fibreglass fibres can irritate the skin.
