AK Enamel Effects Earth Effects (35 ml)

AK Interactive AK017 Earth Effects (35 ml) This enamel product is designed for accumulated soil and dried mud on wheels, tracks, chassis, and diorama terrain. This dark earth tone creates a natural matte finish when dry. It can be mixed with other AK earth tones and with plaster to add volume.

Recommended Procedure

  1. Shake the bottle thoroughly. Work on a fully cured painted or varnished surface.
  2. Apply the product with a brush to the wheels, tracks, chassis, and underside of the hull. An airbrush can be used for a light dusting or a scattered layer.
  3. For thick soil or mud, remove some of the product from the bottle and gradually mix in a small amount of modeling plaster. Adjust the consistency in small increments.
  4. Create splatters using a stiff brush and a toothpick or a stream of air from an airbrush. First, test their size on paper.
  5. Touch up any excess or overly sharp edges with a clean brush dampened with White Spirit. Build up the effect irregularly in several layers.
  6. Allow the layer to dry thoroughly before applying another coat of paint or another enamel effect.

Use AK Interactive White Spirit 35 ml to blend and remove excess. For finer work and less odor, AK Interactive Odorless Thinner 35 ml is recommended.
