AK Interactive AK325 Dark Umber Pin Wash (35 ml) is a precise enamel pin wash in the shade of dark umber. Its special formula targets selected details, using capillary action to highlight volume, rivets, joints, and small recesses without spreading unnecessarily over large areas.

The manufacturer recommends it for greens, browns, and other medium-dark shades. Dark umber naturally deepens the details of military and earthy colors.

Recommended Procedure

1. Shake the bottle thoroughly to ensure the pigment is evenly mixed.
2. Apply to a fully cured, painted surface. AK Interactive recommends a glossy or satin base, which promotes capillary action and makes it easier to remove excess. If using an unfamiliar combination, first test compatibility in a hidden area.
3. Using a fine brush, apply a small amount around a rivet, detail, or panel line. Allow the product to rise and work in small sections.
4. After a short drying time, remove the excess with a brush or cotton swab lightly moistened with White Spirit or an odorless thinner.
5. Allow the enamel layer to dry thoroughly before applying any further effects or the final coat of paint.

For thinning, corrections, and cleaning, use AK Interactive White Spirit 35 ml. For finer work and less odor, AK Interactive Odorless Thinner 35 ml is recommended.
