It is color-matched for gray, blue, and gray-blue camouflage schemes and is intended primarily for aircraft, ships, military vehicles, and sci-fi models painted in gray or blue, or in camouflage schemes combining both colors. AK Interactive AK2072 Paneliner for Grey and Blue Camouflage (35 ml) is an enamel-based panel liner developed by AK Interactive primarily for highlighting panel lines on aircraft models. Its improved flow allows the product to flow by capillary action into engraved lines and around fine details, where it creates depth and contrast without the need to mix your own shade.
This variant is color-matched for gray, blue, and gray-blue camouflage schemes. It is suitable for aircraft, ships, military vehicles, and sci-fi models painted in gray or blue, or in camouflage patterns combining both colors. The same principle can also be applied to corresponding shades on military vehicles, ships, trains, sci-fi models, and wargaming miniatures.
Recommended Procedure
- Shake the bottle thoroughly to evenly mix any settled pigment.
- Apply to a fully cured, painted surface. A satin or glossy varnish will improve capillary flow and make subsequent cleaning easier. If using an unknown combination of paints and varnishes, first test for compatibility in an inconspicuous area.
- Using a fine, pointed brush, apply a small amount to the start of the panel line and allow the product to flow naturally. Continue in sections as needed; do not saturate a large area.
- After a short drying period, wipe off the excess with a brush or cotton swab lightly moistened with White Spirit or an odorless thinner. Wipe across the line to avoid pulling pigment out of the joint.
- Allow the enamel product to dry thoroughly before applying another coat or additional effects.
Use AK Interactive White Spirit 35 ml for touch-ups and to remove excess. For finer work and less odor, AK Interactive Odorless Thinner 35 ml is recommended.
