It darkens the metal within seconds, and depending on the duration of application and dilution, it allows you to create a dark to oxidized appearance. Volume: 100 ml.
AK Interactive AK159 Metal Burnishing Fluid (100 ml) is not a paint, but a reactive liquid intended primarily for white metal track links, such as those from Friulmodel. It chemically alters the surface’s appearance, so the tracks quickly acquire a dark, naturally oxidized base suitable for further patination.
Recommended Procedure
- Degrease the metal parts and prepare a chemically resistant container.
- Carefully pour the required amount of the solution. It can be diluted, but this will prolong the reaction time.
- Submerge the tracks or metal parts for a few seconds. Use an old brush to work the liquid into the seams and cavities.
- Once the desired shade is achieved, remove the parts and rinse them with water to remove any excess product.
- Dry them with absorbent paper and let the reaction complete. The manufacturer states that the final appearance may continue to develop for approximately 30 minutes.
