The Mosquito’s greatest strength was its speed, which allowed it to outpace the fighter planes of the time, making it ideal for military reconnaissance. The Mosquito PR Mk.XVI variant proved to be the most effective several months before the Normandy landings. It could fly anywhere, see everything, and the Germans sincerely hated these aircraft for it.
