1/72 Alpha Jet A Bundeswehr, German Air Force
ASK 1/72 Alpha Jet A is a decal sheet for three German Luftwaffe Alpha Jet A light attack aircraft from 1983–1997, including 40+02 from the farewell flight at Manching.
This 1/72 ASK decal sheet offers three marking options for camouflaged German Luftwaffe Alpha Jet As. 41+50 belonged to fighter-bomber wing JaboG 41 in 1984, 40+86 served with JaboG 43 in 1983, and 40+02 wore special markings for the Last Flight at Manching in 1997.
The Alpha Jet was a joint Franco-German programme of Dassault and Dornier. The German A version (Appui Tactique) was intended for close support and light attack and differs from the French E trainer in its weapon-aiming system, avionics and pointed nose. The Luftwaffe received Alpha Jets from 1979 and retired them in 1998. Belgian and French Alpha Jet Es are covered by sheets 200-D72018 to 200-D72020.
