1/48 P-47D-25RE Thunderbolt double-sided express fit mask for MINIART
ASK masks for the MiniArt P-47D-25RE Thunderbolt in 1/48 scale come as a double-sided Express Fit set. Two mask groups cover the windscreen and bubble canopy inside and out, with ring masks added.
ASK designs these masks specifically for the clear parts of the MiniArt P-47D-25RE Thunderbolt kit in 1/48 scale. Sheet ASK 200-M48183 from the SCALE MASK range carries two groups of cockpit masks: shaped pane masks 2 and 3 with frame strips, and a matching group 11–17 for the inner side. The right-hand part of the sheet holds large ring masks 9 and two smaller ring masks 10. The one-sided version is 200-M48184.
The P-47D-25 is one of the Thunderbolt versions with the sliding bubble canopy, which offered good visibility. Powered by a Pratt & Whitney R-2800 radial and armed with eight .50-calibre machine guns, the Thunderbolt was one of the heaviest fighters of the war; the RAF received 590 P-47D-25s as the Thunderbolt Mk II. The masks are intended for the MiniArt P-47D-25RE kit in 1/48 scale.
