1/48 Nakajima J1N1-Sa one-sided express mask for Tamiya
ASK masks from the Express range for the Tamiya Nakajima J1N1-Sa Gekko night fighter in 1/48 scale are one-sided. They cover the outside of the long glazed crew canopy and the wheels.
The set is an ASK original, developed specifically for the 1/48 J1N1-Sa Gekko kit from Tamiya. Sheet ASK 200-M48057 from the SCALE MASK range contains masks numbered up to 36 for the individual panes of the long crew canopy and the smaller windows, plus small masks for parts D4 and D9. The WHEELS section carries B7 wheel masks and the smaller E8 and E9 masks. The double-sided version is 200-M48058.
The Nakajima J1N Gekko (Allied codename Irving) began as a twin-engined escort aircraft but became known as a night fighter of the Imperial Japanese Navy. The J1N1-Sa carried three 20 mm cannon firing obliquely upward and forward to attack bombers from below. The masks are intended for the Tamiya J1N1-Sa Gekko kit in 1/48 scale.
