1/48 Hawker Tempest Mk.II double-sided painting mask for Eduard / Special Hobby
ASK masks for the Eduard or Special Hobby Hawker Tempest Mk.II kit in 1/48 scale – double-sided. They cover the windscreen and bubble canopy inside and out, the wheels and four smaller clear parts.
ASK created this set specifically for the Eduard or Special Hobby Hawker Tempest Mk.II kit in 1/48 scale. Sheet ASK 200-M48020 from the SCALE MASK range (DOUBLE-SIDED) carries masks 1–5 for the outer side of the windscreen and canopy and, in the INTERIOR section, masks 6–10 for the inner side. The CLEAR PARTS section covers four smaller transparencies and the WHEELS section holds two wheel masks.
The Tempest Mk.II replaced the Napier Sabre inline engine of the Mk.V with a Bristol Centaurus radial. The first prototype flew in June 1943, but the type only entered service after the war ended; the RAF used it in India and Malaya among other places, and in 1947–1948 Tempest IIs went to the Indian and Pakistani air forces. The masks are shaped for the kit in 1/48 scale.
