1/48 B-26B Marauder double-sided express fit mask for ICM
ASK masks for the ICM B-26B Marauder in 1/48 come as a double-sided Express Fit set. Two sheets carry masks for the cockpit glazing and other clear parts, for both the outer and inner side.
The masks are ASK's own design, matched to the glazing of the 1/48 ICM B-26B Marauder kit. Set ASK 200-M48224 from the SCALE MASK range comes on two sheets. The first holds masks numbered up to 43: trapezoidal and rectangular pane masks, arched strips 24 and 25, the oval mask 23 and the ring-shaped mask 19. The second sheet holds higher-numbered masks; the double-sided layout covers the glazing inside and out, so the frames seen from inside stay clean too. The one-sided version is 200-M48223.
B-26 development began in 1939; Martin's design introduced features new to the US Army Air Corps, such as powered gun turrets and self-sealing fuel tanks. The first B-26 flew on 25 November 1940. The high landing speed and accident rate of the early versions earned it the nickname Widowmaker. The masks are shaped for the ICM B-26B Marauder kit (48320) in 1/48 scale.
