ASK 1/72 Spitfire Mk.V late, Mk.VIII, IX and XVI: 3D-printed cockpit doors with a detailed inner face. Recommended for the 1/72 Eduard plastic kits.
This 1/72 ASK set contains two cockpit doors depicted from the inside: frame with riveted stiffeners, hinge, spring-loaded lock and operating lever. One door also carries a crowbar – a detail that is clearly visible on a model with the door open. The doors follow the curvature of the fuselage.
The drop-down door on the left side of the cockpit was a characteristic Spitfire feature. According to the manufacturer, this version is intended for the late Mk.V and the Mk.VIII, IX and XVI and is recommended for the 1/72 Eduard kits. For the Mk.I, Mk.II and early Mk.V, ASK offers separate doors, 200-A72039.
