1/72 Spitfire Mk.IXc early version OVERTREES
Eduard 1/72 Spitfire Mk.IXc early version OVERTREES is a plastic kit of the British fighter. The box holds only the plastic sprues of the early version, without decals or instructions. Paints and glues needed for assembly are not included.
The Spitfire Mk.IX was created in 1942 as a quick answer to the superiority of the German Fw 190. An airframe derived from the Mk.V received a Merlin 60-series engine with a two-stage supercharger that greatly improved performance at altitude. The ‘c’ wing allowed various combinations of cannon and machine guns. The first production Mk.IX aircraft were completed in June 1942.
The OVERTREES edition contains only the plastic sprues of a specific Eduard kit – no decals, instructions, photo-etch or masks. Eduard offers it as an inexpensive variant for a limited time. It suits modellers who already have their own decals and accessories, or those who want another Spitfire for their collection.
In 1/72 scale a whole line of Spitfire versions can be displayed side by side in little space. Paints and glues needed for assembly are not included.
