1/72 F-14B Bombcat double-sided painting mask for Great Wall Hobby
ASK masks for the F-14B Bombcat from the Great Wall Hobby kit in 1/72 scale, in a double-sided self-adhesive version. Masks 1–7 and the INTERIOR section (10–16) cover the windscreen and canopy on both sides, plus circular masks.
ASK developed this set itself, specifically for the clear parts of the Great Wall Hobby F-14B Bombcat kit in 1/72 scale. Double-sided set ASK 200-M72003 (SCALE MASK) carries two identically laid-out groups: masks 1–7 and the INTERIOR section with masks 10–16 for the inner side of the glazing. Each group contains canopy frame strips, two masks for the side panes of the windscreen and an elongated mask for the front pane. The top row is made up of four pairs of circular masks numbered 8 and 9. The one-sided version is 200-M72002.
The F-14B, originally the F-14A+, received F110-GE-400 engines that gave it much more thrust and 60% more striking range in the overland attack role. In the 1990s the F-14 took on strikes with laser-guided bombs, later with its own LANTIRN pod, earning the “Bombcat” nickname; the F-14B remained the main version for this role.
