1/48 TBM-3E Avenger Conversion Set / for Accurate/Academy kits

The TBM-3E Avenger Conversion Set for Accurate/Academy kits is a 1/48-scale resin conversion set from CMK.

The TBM-3E was a lightweight version of the Avenger that entered production in 1944. The weight reduction resulted in improved performance, and the installation of the APS-4 radar under the wing allowed Avengers to be deployed on night missions as well. The conversion set covers both the exterior and interior changes of the new version. It includes a new forward fuselage section, a clear cover for the lower gun port, an external arresting hook, a radar unit with a mounting bracket under the right wing, and interior details, including the radar controls. The parts combine castings and 3D-printed components. It is designed for the Avenger kit by Accurate Miniatures and all its reissues (Italery, Academy). The decals feature two aircraft: one from the U.S. Navy and the other from the U.S. Marine Corps. Both saw action from aircraft carriers in the Pacific toward the end of World War II.

This is an add-on set; the plastic kit, paints, and glue are not included unless specifically stated by the manufacturer.
