Hobby Boss 1/48 Me 262 A-1a/U2 (V056) is a plastic kit of a jet aircraft. The Me 262 A-1a/U2 coded V056 was the single prototype used to trial night fighter equipment on the Me 262 jet. It carried the FuG 220 Lichtenstein SN-2 radar with the Hirschgeweih antenna array on the nose, which clearly distinguishes it from the day fighter versions.
According to the Cybermodeler review the cockpit, nose gun bay and electronics compartments can be built open to show their detail. The nose wheel well is metal and removes the need for extra ballast; the decals cover this prototype including stencils. The manufacturer quotes a model length of 221 mm. Paints and glue required for assembly are not included.
