Hobby Boss 1/48 F-80C Shooting Star is a plastic kit of an aircraft for assembly. The Lockheed F-80 Shooting Star was the first jet fighter to enter operational service with the US Air Force. The straight-winged F-80C with its side intakes fought in Korea, first as a fighter and later mainly in the ground-attack role.
The manufacturer lists over 110 parts. The cockpit and wheel wells are detailed, the fuselage and wings follow the original closely and photo-etched parts add seat belts and other small items. The compact model fits well into a Korean War collection. Paints and glue required for assembly are not included.
Nationality: USA. Period: Cold War.
