1/350 CA-38 San Francisco 1942
Trumpeter 1/350 USS San Francisco CA-38 1942 is a plastic kit of the American heavy cruiser. Full hull or waterline can be chosen, and clear floatplanes and a display stand are included. Paints and glue are not included.
USS San Francisco was a New Orleans-class heavy cruiser. She survived the attack on Pearl Harbor and in November 1942 fought a fierce action in the Naval Battle of Guadalcanal, in which hits on the bridge killed Admiral Callaghan and her captain. The kit depicts the ship as she appeared in 1942.
According to the box the kit has 263 parts. The upper hull is combined either with two lower hull halves or with a waterline plate, so the model can be displayed complete on its stand or set into a sea base. Two clear sprues carry the floatplanes, and decals are included.
The finished model is 512 mm long and 54.5 mm wide according to the box. Paints and glue required for assembly are not included.
