1/35 US Heavy Wrecker Ward LaFrance M1000 series 4

The Ward LaFrance M1000 heavy recovery vehicle was one of the most important support vehicles of the US Army during World War II. Manufactured by Ward LaFrance since 1941, it was designed to handle damaged tanks, armored vehicles, artillery and trucks. With its strong chassis, winches and recovery crane, it was able to operate even in difficult terrain, ensuring that mechanized units could keep moving despite heavy equipment losses.

The Series 4 version represented a later production variant that included body and equipment modifications to increase reliability and practicality in field deployment. The Ward LaFrance M1000 Series 4 was deployed in Europe after the Normandy landings, in Italy and on the Pacific theaters. The vehicle proved itself not only in the recovery of Sherman tanks, but also in dealing with heavier armor. After the war, it continued in use by American and Allied troops and remained in service in some armies well into the post-war period.

The 1/35th scale kit contains 7 frames with a total of 580 plastic parts, 8 clear parts, photo-etched parts, 8 detailed 3D printed parts, decals, as well as scale strings and chains. It also offers an optional front bumper with grips and whiffle tree and an extended salvage kit. These details make it possible to create an extremely authentic replica of one of the most important American support vehicles of World War II.

The package does not include the paint or adhesives needed for assembly.
