1/35 Nakajima B5N2 Type 97 one-sided express fit painting mask for Border Model
ASK masks for the Border Model Nakajima B5N2 Type 97 kit in 1/35 scale – one-sided and in the Express Fit format. They cover the outer side of the long three-seat canopy glazing and the wheels.
This is an in-house ASK design, tailored to the Border Model Nakajima B5N2 Type 97 kit in 1/35 scale. Sheet ASK 200-M35015 from the SCALE MASK range carries dozens of numbered masks (2–41) for the individual panes of the long canopy – mostly rectangular panels, complemented by triangular and rounded masks. A second, smaller sheet holds circular wheel masks numbered 42. The double-sided version with masks for the inner side as well is 200-M35016.
The Nakajima B5N, known to the Allies as Kate, was a carrier-based torpedo bomber of the Imperial Japanese Navy with a crew of three. The B5N2 received the more reliable Sakae 11 radial engine, and 144 B5N2s took part in the attack on Pearl Harbor. The set is designed for the Border Model Kate in 1/35 scale.
