This highly detailed cast model of the Swiss and German anti-tank rifle consists of twenty-two cast parts. It can be assembled in two configurations: either on support legs or on a wheeled carriage. The weapon was developed in Switzerland by the Solothurn company (which was owned by Rheinmetall-Borsig). In the 1930s, many countries, including the United States, considered and tested this weapon. It was adopted by Finland, Italy, Hungary, Bulgaria, Estonia, and the Netherlands. The Wehrmacht also used it, although it was not officially adopted into service. The gun was mounted both experimentally and in series production on various vehicles, ranging from Polish TKS light tanks to Italian Sahariana vehicles and CV-33 light tanks.
