IBG 1/72 Wooden landing flaps for Fw 190D family is a 3D printed 1/72 scale add-on kit containing detailed wooden landing flaps used on the Fw 190D family. Decals are included to mimic the characteristic wood grain for maximum realism.
The Focke-Wulf Fw 190D fighter aircraft, known as the "Dory", represented one of the most advanced Luftwaffe designs at the end of World War II. Due to a shortage of aluminium, wooden construction was used on some of the aircraft, including on the flaps. This improvised feature is well documented and is one of the interesting details of these machines.
The 1/72nd scale IBG add-on kit includes precision 3D printed flaps in the form of wooden construction, replacing the standard parts of the basic kit. Also included are special wood-textured decals to achieve a very realistic surface appearance. This allows the kit to create an Fw 190D model that matches the historical models while adding unique detail to the model.
This add-on is designed for modelers who want to take their model to a higher level of authenticity and bring it closer to the real Luftwaffe machines from the end of the war.
The package does not include the paint or glue needed for assembly.
