The Aichi D3A, known by the Allied code name "Val", was a Japanese deck-based dive bomber that played a key role in the early stages of the Pacific War. This aircraft became one of the Imperial Japanese Navy's most effective tools in the attack on Pearl Harbor in December 1941 and subsequently in the battles of the Coral Sea, Midway, and other operations. The D3A was highly regarded for its accuracy in dive-bombing, stability in flight, and reliability, making it a feared weapon against enemy ships and ground targets.
This photo-etched add-on from Yahu Models is designed to enhance the cockpit detail of the 1:32 scale Aichi D3A1 Val kits from Infinity Models. The kit includes an instrument panel with finely crafted dials, indicators and controls that replace the kit's standard plastic parts. Photo-etched technology allows for a higher level of detail and fidelity to the model, which will be especially appreciated by advanced modelers focusing on interior detail. Installation requires basic experience with photo-etched parts, bending thin metal and bonding with special instant adhesives or transparent media.
Package does not include paint or adhesives needed for assembly.
