1/24 Mosquito NF.II / FB VI recommended for Airfix

The de Havilland Mosquito is one of the most remarkable aircraft of the 2nd. World War II - fast, versatile and deployed in a variety of roles from fighter-bomber to night fighter. In 1:24 scale, the Mosquito is a large model and the cockpit is prominently featured; the instrumentation will therefore have a major influence on how 'grown up' the finished cockpit will appear. In addition, the instrument panel is a detail that remains visible even after the build is complete, so it is an addition with a very good work/finish ratio.

The Yahu Models kit includes the colour etched instrument panels for the Mosquito in NF.II / FB VI. The etchings are factory finished (colourful, with sharply drawn dials, subtle markings and a realistic look to evoke), so there's no need for complicated hand-painting of instruments or fighting with decals in areas where space is at a premium in the cabin. Thanks to the JustStick system, parts are ready for quick assembly - typically just separate, dry test fit and glue.

Compatibility is targeted at Airfix kits and the kit is recommended for the Airfix de Havilland Mosquito FB Mk.VI in 1:24 scale. It is also important to stick to the variant designation: the specification states [NF.II], so this item corresponds to the NF.II (night fighter) version. For the Mosquito, individual versions may differ in layout and instrumentation, so it's a good idea to do a dry run before gluing and compare with the cockpit parts in your particular kit. If the original plastic panel contains significant protruding details, it may be advisable to gently flatten them so that the etch sits cleanly and does not appear unnecessarily layered.

The result is a much more realistic cockpit with perfectly legible alarms that will stand out with the cockpit overlay open and when the finished model is normally displayed.
