The Vallejo Moisturising Sponges are a replacement consumable part for the Wet Palette, a working tool that allows model makers and miniature painters to keep acrylic paints in a usable condition throughout the work. The principle is that a sponge soaked in water continuously moistens the parchment paper placed on it, which then prevents the paints on the palette from drying out. The result is longer working time with paint, smoother shade mixing and less material consumption.
Vallejo sponges are made of reusable material - they can be washed, dried and resoaked in water. The 220 mm × 140 mm size corresponds to the standard Vallejo palette format, so the sponges fit without modification.
