Neutral primers are suitable as a universal base: white enhances light and saturated shades, gray is a safe compromise, and black aids in shading, metallics, and dark camouflage.

Shake the bottle thoroughly before use. The model should be clean, dry, and degreased. Apply the primer in several thin coats rather than one thick coat. When using an airbrush, start with lower pressure and adjust the distance, pressure, and any thinning according to how the paint behaves. Allow the surface to dry well between coats.
