Vallejo Diorama FX 26810 Light Brown Thick Mud Thick Mud Textures (200 ml)
Modeling effects gel from Vallejo Diorama Effects range designed to realistically represent surfaces and natural textures on dioramas and models. Ideal for creating water, mud, sand, snow or other natural effects. 200 ml pack.
Vallejo Diorama FX 26810 Light Brown Thick Mud Texture (200 ml) is a thick muddy texture from the Vallejo Diorama FX line in a light brown thick mud finish. It is suitable for vehicle tracks, wet soil, undercarriages, tracks, road edges, and realistic terrain weathering.
You can apply the texture directly to the terrain or to the vehicle model. For a natural result, combine layers of varying thickness: a thin film on dried mud, and thicker applications on tracks, fenders, and road edges.
Technical Information and Recommendations
- Type: thick, muddy acrylic texture for dioramas
- Volume: 200 ml
- Uses: mud, wet soil, vehicle tracks, undercarriages, tracks, bases, and terrain scenes
- Application: brush, old brush, palette knife, or dabbing with a sponge depending on the desired texture
- Layering: Apply in stages; thicker layers take longer to dry and create a more pronounced relief
- Enhancing the effect: combine with pigments, washes, and drybrushing
- Primer: Vallejo Surface Primer
- Tools: model-making brushes
For Diorama FX effect products, it’s best to work in layers: first prepare the base, then create the main texture, and finally add local shadows, pigments, drybrushing, or glossy/wet effects. This way, the texture will blend naturally with the rest of the model and won’t look like a separate layer applied to the surface.
