Tamiya 35083 represents the U.S. M21 mortar carrier of the Second World War. Its half-track chassis combined transport for crew and ammunition with an 81mm mortar in an open fighting compartment. Adopted in June 1943, the vehicle is modelled here in 1:35 with a finished length of 183 mm.
The kit reproduces the driver’s station, open rear compartment and detailed chassis with driven front wheels. Weapons and accessories include the 81mm mortar, a bazooka, sheets and other equipment. The open body keeps these details visible on the completed model.
Four figures are supplied: one driver and three mortar crewmen, providing the basis for a crewed scene without buying all figures separately. This is an unassembled plastic kit for gluing and painting; photographs show a finished example.
