Eduard BIG2406 Spitfire Mk.VIII 1/24 is a value Big Ed bundle with five upgrade sets for the Airfix kit. Besides masks, it contains four photo-etched sets: the main set, landing flaps, engine and undercarriage, and STEEL seatbelts.

The sub-sets are divided by assembly – the landing flaps, the engine with undercarriage and the STEEL seatbelts each have their own photo-etched set, complemented by the main set and the masks. The Spitfire Mk.VIII received the two-stage Merlin 60-series engine and a strengthened airframe with a retractable tailwheel; it served mainly in the Mediterranean, in Burma and with the Royal Australian Air Force in the Pacific.
The base plastic kit is not included.
