Italeri 6135 Imperial Guard Artillery in 1:72 focuses on the foot artillery of Napoleon’s Imperial Guard, specifically a unit of the Regiment d’Artillerie à Pied de la Garde Impériale.
Within the Guard, this branch served alongside infantry, cavalry and horse artillery. The defining feature here is the tall bearskin bonnet issued in 1810, which places the represented appearance in the later phase of the Napoleonic Wars.
The box contains 16 unpainted figures, two guns and instructions. Since a typical Guard artillery crew comprised eight men, the set is arranged for two complete gun detachments and suits anything from separate gun positions to a larger 1:72 French Napoleonic scene. Skill level 1 is the manufacturer’s designation.
