Italeri 6083 NAPOLEONIC WARS - BRITISH 95th rgt. 1/72
Italeri 6083 NAPOLEONIC WARS - BRITISH 95th rgt. (1:72) is a set of 48 figures representing the British 95th Regiment, better known as the Green Jackets. This light infantry unit was among the first British formations armed with Baker rifles and stood out from line infantry thanks to its dark green uniform instead of the usual red coat. A useful choice for Napoleonic dioramas and for expanding other 1:72 scale figure collections.
Italeri 6083 NAPOLEONIC WARS - BRITISH 95th rgt. (1:72) includes 48 figures of the British 95th Regiment, famous as the Green Jackets. The set focuses on a light infantry unit from the Napoleonic Wars that differed from standard British line infantry through its dark green uniform and its use in loose-order fighting.
What made the 95th Regiment distinctive
The 95th was one of the first British units equipped with Baker rifles. These were notably more accurate than ordinary smooth-bore muskets, which suited the role of light infantry well. That combination of rifle-armed troops and green uniforms gives the set a clearly different character from standard British redcoat subjects.
Useful for Peninsula and Waterloo scenes
The regiment served in the Peninsula campaign and also took part in the Battle of Waterloo. That makes this set suitable for a broad range of late Napoleonic diorama settings, whether used on its own or alongside other 1:72 British subjects.
