The Alfa Romeo 8C can easily be ranked among the most famous sports cars of the 1930s. The “8C” in its name was derived from its powerplant, an 8-cylinder inline supercharged engine with a displacement of 2336 cm³. At the time, Alfa Romeo was considered the absolute leader in terms of technological advancements, innovative solutions, and overall performance. The 8C model, which stood out for its high reliability and handling, won numerous international automobile races of that era. The name of this famous car is inextricably linked to the legendary Italian race car driver Tazio Nuvolari, who won numerous races with it, including the Targa Florio in Sicily and the prestigious Italian Grand Prix at Monza. It was this victory that added the word “Monza” to the name of this two-seater race car. Based on the race version, nearly 200 vehicles were also produced for sale to the public.
