Information about the original:
The Messerschmitt Bf 109 is undoubtedly one of the most famous fighter aircraft of World War II and is rightly considered an iconic representative of the German Luftwaffe. Throughout the protracted conflict, its engines and armament underwent regular upgrades to keep pace with the increasingly modern enemy aircraft. The Bf 109 K-4 “Kurfürst,” introduced in late 1944, was the final version of this famous German aircraft, largely derived from the G model. It was powered by a powerful supercharged Daimler-Benz DB 605 engine with 2,000 koňů, which allowed it to exceed a speed of 720 km/h. Another significant advantage was its excellent climb rate, which even surpassed that of Allied aircraft. Its armament consisted of a powerful 30mm MK108 cannon mounted in the engine’s hollow shaft and a pair of 13mm MG 131 machine guns concealed above the engine.
