Blood Angels Red is specifically designed for the iconic Blood Angels red armor - one of the most famous Space Marines chapters in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. This rich, blood red hue perfectly captures the noble yet fierce nature of the Sons of Sanguinius. However, the color is versatile and also suits other factions and details requiring intense red - from Khorne Daemons to Adept Sororitas to various insignia, purity seals or weapons.

For optimal results, Contrast paints should be applied over a light base, ideally Wraithbone or Grey Seer Spray, or a base coat of Corax White. A light base allows the paint to fully show its transparency and create a rich colour gradient. Contrast paints can also be thinned with Contrast Medium for more subtle effects or combined with classic Citadel layer paints for advanced techniques.
