The etched parts capture fine interior elements that injection-moulded parts only hint at in this scale – from the flight deck to the radio operator's station and the waist gun positions. This version of the set is intended for the regular nose; the exterior, undercarriage and bomb bay are covered by Part II. In 1943 the B-17F was the principal Flying Fortress version with which the Eighth Air Force faced the Germans, and it standardised the manned Sperry ball turret for ventral defence.
The base plastic kit is not included.
