Winter in modelling is not just about the white colour of snow, but above all about the details that depict nature's struggle against the cold. AK Vegetation - Winter Tufts (AK8121) represents grass that has lost all its greenery, leaving only the pale, yellowish to whitish blades typical of a frozen landscape.

These tufts are absolutely essential for a historically faithful depiction of dramatic moments such as the Battle of Stalingrad, the winter offensive in the Ardennes in 1944 or operations in the freezing conditions of the Korean War. The light shade of the tufts creates an excellent visual transition between bare ground and a layer of fresh or thinned snow.

Technical details and applications

With a height of 6 mm, these clumps stand out even from the higher layers of model snow, adding depth and realism to the scene. The static fibres are made to retain their shape even after varnish or fixatives have been applied.

• Easy to use: simply remove the clusters from the sheet with tweezers and place in the desired location. The self-adhesive layer helps fixation in the first stage of creation.

• Combination: for a perfect result, we recommend adding AK-Interactive snow products (Snow Sprinkles or Snow Microballoons) and ice to these winter clusters.

Please note: The package does not contain paint or glue (except for the base self-adhesive layer on the underside of the clusters).
