The AK-Interactive Dio-Mat Tufts with Fallen Leaves - Autumn (AK8140) makes the job much easier by offering ready-made grass tufts that already have miniature fallen leaves and a variety of flora embedded in them. This colour mix of brown, ochre and muted green perfectly simulates the moist undergrowth typical of European forests, parks and gardens in the peak autumn season.
From a historical perspective, these clumps are the perfect complement to the late WWII era models of the technique. They are perfect for depicting camouflaged tank positions during operations in the Ardennes or muddy roads on the Eastern Front. The fallen leaves add organic detail and visual depth to the scene, which would be very time consuming when gluing the elements together by hand.

High variability: the clumps in the package have different shapes and irregular leaf distribution, which prevents a monotonous diorama appearance.

Easy to apply: simply remove the individual clusters from the package with tweezers and place them in the desired location on the model or mat.

For permanentbonding to textured surfaces (mud, clay, plaster) we recommend using a drop of white glue (PVA) or AK118 Gravel & Sand Fixer.

Universal scale: Although primarily designed for 1:35 and 1:32 scale, the fine scale of the leaves makes them look great on 1:48 scale projects or large historical and fantasy figures.
Important note: This kit does not contain paint or glue. The product is ready for direct use, but can be further tinted with pigments or washes to represent mud and dust.
