Real Colors paints are finely pigmented acrylic lacquer paints for airbrushing. They adhere well to a prepared surface, dry to a soft matte finish, and, once cured, can withstand subsequent model-making weathering.
Recommended airbrush procedure
- Mix the paint thoroughly; the pigment must be evenly dispersed.
- Depending on the nozzle and the desired fineness, thin the paint with AK RC701 High Compatibility Thinner or AK RC702 High Compatibility Thinner.
- Spray in several thin layers, allowing the surface to air dry briefly between layers.
- Once completely dry, you can proceed with washes, oils, pigments, and other patina products.
This is a lacquer-based paint. Work in a well-ventilated area, use appropriate respiratory protection, and always follow the safety instructions on the label.
