AK Interactive AK11841 RAF Dark Earth is an acrylic paint from the 3GEN Aircraft Series in an 18 ml bottle. Dark Earth is the brown upper surface colour of British aircraft in the Second World War Temperate Land Scheme.
The shade is part of the 3GEN Aircraft Series, in which AK Interactive gathers specific aircraft colours of different air forces and periods. The bottle holds 18 ml and, according to the manufacturer, the paint is suited to brush and airbrush alike.
According to AK Interactive, Dark Green and Dark Earth were the upper surface colours of RAF day fighters from 1938 until August 1941, while bombers (except Mosquitos) kept them until the end of the war. The same pair was also used by RAF units under South-East Asia Command. The paint is included in the AK11723 WWII RAF Aircraft Colors, AK11724 WWII RAF Temperate Land Scheme and AK11727 WWII RAF SEAC Aircraft Colors sets.
