AK Acrylics 3GEN Aircraft Series AE-9/AII Light Grey (17 ml)
AK Interactive AK11908 AE-9/AII Light Grey is a 3GEN Aircraft Series acrylic in an 18 ml bottle. From around 1937, light grey AE-9/AII served as the overall finish of some Soviet aircraft, such as the Tupolev SB bomber.
Around 1937, the Soviet Air Force introduced the overall light grey AE-9/AII finish, worn among others by Tupolev SB bombers. According to AK Interactive, it was replaced by the AE-8/AII aluminium finish around the end of 1938. The colour is part of the AK11740 Soviet Aircraft Colors 1930s-1941 set, which covers Soviet finishes from the 1930s to mid-1941.
This third-generation (3GEN) acrylic is developed for brush and airbrush, and the maker states high pigmentation and coverage; the bottle holds 18 ml. It lets modellers finish Soviet aircraft of the late 1930s in the single-colour grey scheme.
