The iconic Spitfire not only helped defend British skies during the Battle of Britain, but continued to fight, taking the air war deep into enemy territory until the fighting culminated on June 6, 1944—D-Day. This new version of the Airfix QUICK BUILD features the famous stripes from that very day (which served as a distinguishing mark for Allied aircraft) as well as a rotating propeller. Although it consists of a number of separate parts, once assembled it has beautifully clean lines that everyone will fall in love with at first sight.
This model has a total of 34 parts, plus 3 additional parts for assembling the display stand. The height of the model when placed on the stand is 116 mm. Bring home an integral part of British history in the form of this unique model.
